“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
~ Matthew 19:14 NIV ~
Our children and youth are an integral part of the body of Christ at the Cambridge Methodist Church. Our mission is to uplift children, help them see Jesus and have a relationship with Him. We seek to provide appropriate programming for all ages whether they are toddlers or teens! We hope and pray that we are able to equip each child in our care to be able to share their faith and gifts to the glory of God, in a safe and secure environment, while assisting them in their transition to the broader faith community within the Cambridge community and around the world.
Children's Sunday School
Our Sunday School Program creates a safe and welcoming environment for kids of grade school age. It’s our mission to make it simple for kids to find and follow Jesus in a fun environment.
We meet on Sundays at 9:00 am in the Upper Fellowship Hall starting May 2, 2021. Join Us!
AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed. We use scripture memory, lesson time and lots of FUN to build lifelong Disciples of Christ! Each Thursday after school the children are picked up at Cambridge Schools and brought to Cambridge Methodist Church with a start of 3:30 pm and finish with a meal for the children at 5:00 p.m. Once a month we invite the children’s family to join us for a family meal.
AWANA meets every Thursday that the Cambridge Schools are in session (September to May). There will be no club on school breaks or on any days when school has been canceled.

Cubbies celebrates the spiritual potential of preschoolers by helping them develop respect for God, His Son, and His Word. Preschoolers can hardly wait for their next Cubbies club meeting! Whether it's the fun puppets, the exciting games or all their Cubbies friends, they simply love it! Cubbies helps you lead your child to God early so your child will respect and trust Him for life.
Sparks ignites the curiosity of early elementary-age kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ. To many children in kindergarten to second grade, Sparks is the highlight of the week! They love their red vests, the exciting games and spending time with leaders and friends. Sparks is divided into three years, each with a unique rank: HangGlider, WingRunner, and SkyStormer.
T&T engages third through sixth graders by answering their questions about God and the Bible, guiding them through this pivotal life stage to grow in Christ's grace. Handbooks and large-group lessons deepen a child's knowledge about God and His Word and teach how to put that knowledge into action in everyday life.
Vacation Bible School
Our Vacation Bible School is truly a Community event and includes all the protestant churches in Cambridge. We come together for one week each summer to experience and learn in a fun way about God.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions we will not be hosting our Vacation Bible School this summer. But looking forward to the Summer of 2021!
